“Ahimsa Yoga will live on because our community is so strong…”

The first day I walked into Ahimsa Yoga Brooklyn; I knew I was home.

Coming to the studio was more than just a getting a yoga practice in for the day, it was like seeing my extended family and witnessing the love of yoga that connected us together. I don’t know even know where to begin with the magical moments I’ve experienced in the walls of all 3 locations. From teacher trainings, retreats in Brighton, Saturday morning classes in Whitby, girl talks after class and the yoga conference, JP and Michelle, you have guided me along a path that completely transformed my life.

JP; I remember the 3 years we would drag old Hank the skeleton throughout the Toronto Convention Centre as I assisted in your workshops for the Yoga Conference. I was always completely intrigued each time I heard your ‘protector of the realm’ talk in detox yoga... it just made so much sense!

Michelle, our late night goddess flow classes are so special to me. I will always remember that point in my life where I would run over to my overnight shift afterwards because it was just so worth it.

JP, the restorative yoga classes at Lotus Heart Centre with my fellow teacher trainees and waking up at 7am each morning for sadhana practice.

Michelle, watching Dirty Dancing in Brighton....

JP, Saturday morning yoga assisting...what magic and beautiful memories.

Michelle, dancing at Shari’s and being your teacher training assistant for Goddess Flow, thank you.

Potlucks in the city!

The friendship malas we all created at Bloom Yoga and Retreat Centre.

Ahimsa Yoga will live on because our community is so strong and this wouldn’t have been possible without you two beautiful humans. May the next chapter of Ahimsa Yoga be exciting and full of love and abundance.

Shanti,

Stephanie Geraci

“I still go on my mat, and hear JP’s soft instructions in my ears, and still it calms me and centers me back to who I am.”
