About Philippe

  1. Why do I love yoga? Because it is a comprehensive blend of free movement, physical conditioning, healthier breath and philosophy that may be practiced in an empowering way. But most of all, because it changed my life.
  2. What can students expect to take away from your classes? In an active class, students can expect, vigour, humour and specificity. In a restorative class, they can expect to be guided towards greater stillness with creative language. Either way, be ready to delve into a theme you may take with you off the mat.
  3. Why do I love to teach?I love movement. I love shared spaces. I love vulnerability. I want to contribute as a Challenger, a Caretaker and an Artist. I want us to reach our greatest potential.
  4. How did you come to be a yoga teacher? Being a performance artist and having Yoga as an ally through many transformation, it was a natural step to start teaching. I want to offer others what Yoga has offered me.

Philippe has been practicing yoga since 2007 and has taken many workshops since, mostly in Canada but also during his stay in Rishikesh, North India, in 2008. He completed his 200+ hour teacher training at Ahimsa Yoga Toronto. He gives huge thanks to his numerous mentors and teachers, namely Todd Lavictoire, Chrys Muszka, Kate Gillespie and J-P Tamblyn.

Philippe is also an actor, a food & wine enthusiast and a chameleon. He speaks fluent French, has two brothers and loves the colour green. Find out more about him at
